A DOSE OF LAUGHTER MEDICINE FOR YOU!

A DOSE OF LAUGHTER MEDICINE FOR YOU
Hi,
Did I hear you say economic recession is in the air? Haha! Yes, this is true. Each day is filled with lows and highs so also life has to go on.
I was trying to charge my phone last night after concluding a WhatsApp class with my tribe. Quite inciteful for everyone and helping me also to continue to be conscious of things that stress me out. My phone fell face down with the screen broken and blurred. What a mess! you think?
Should I cry or laugh?Precious and barely new I thought. Was already tired and needed to hit the bed on a good mood so do I have a choice than to laugh out loud after a sigh to ease the tension.
‘’Laughter is the best medicine,’’ as an old saying goes is indeed true. Laughing is a positive feeling of a moment which research studies confirmed to be an instinctive behaviour coded in our genes. In humans, laughter was observed to start in babies as early as 3-4months of age. Children also tend to laugh more due to play than adults who tend to be serious and busy. You and I need to emulate this way of life of children, right.
Science has proved that there are several benefits of laughing to your emotional and physical health as well as your social relationship.
LAUGH FOR YOUR BODY
I’m so sure your body needs a good laugh off daily stresses. Laughing triggers the release of some hormones in your body such as the ENDORPHINS( feel-good hormones) which improves your sense of well-being. It helps to calm your body thereby relieving you of tension and stress. It also improves your body immunity, aids a temporary relief of pain and healing as it relaxes the muscles for few minutes.
You need to laugh to improve your heart health too as it helps with free flow of blood in the blood vessels. Way to go is to laugh and ease all tensions, Lol
LAUGH FOR YOUR MIND
What makes you laugh when you think about it or remember? Easy right!
How you think reflects in the way you feel and behave. A positive thought of gives you more positive outlook on life. I’m not sure you have experienced a laugh that also makes tears roll down your cheeks. You can actually remember the past to ease off its effects on your future.
Always remember to create time to engage in fun activities or speak with co-workers and friends away from tasks. The experience comes with positive feelings which help to improve your emotional health.
Surround yourself with positive people who inspire and motivate you, help to lift your mood so as to improve on bringing out the best in you.
LAUGH FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Two or more persons contribute to a happy and successful relationship. This is achieved by spending more time together where laughter is shared, true feelings expressed , moments experienced and nurtured. Each person needs to be there for the other in a positive way hence the efforts must be mutual. One person must not put the other down lift the other.
Studies showed there are positive effects of laughing in uniting people and bonding in social relationships with family members, colleagues at work and friends.
People who have and bond with their pets are also known to experience more laughter and joy with an improvement in body and mind health from stress, depression etc. Pets such as dogs are being used as a form of therapy for improving mental health in people with anxiety, post war military menand so on.
You have a choice to embrace laughter to manouvre the rough rides in life and still be happy and healthy.
Life is not a bed of roses, enjoy a good laugh often despite despite the recessions.
Remember the saying ‘Laughter is like music for the soul.’’
Cheers!
